Patent 0001312140

Oleo-dynamic percussion machine working at constant pressure was the first TECNA Patent.

Remarks: This layout is currently used for all the hammer design, up to 600 [Kg], but w/o the function to change the piston stroke, because not required for the hammer of these categories (too small).

Claims
• Hydraulic hammer equipped with a modulator 4.
• The mutual position of the modulator 4 and the piston 3 allows to realize the working cycle.
• The modulator is able to change its stroke in function of the working condition, changing, as consequence, also the max piston stroke and reducing the accumulator 2 pressure oscillation.
Advantages
• Light design, with reduced number of components, w/o valves inside > high reliability.

Patent 0001344810

Oleo-dynamic percussion machine with double impact mass.

Remarks: is currently applied for the hammer with mass over 800 [Kg].

Claims
• New Hydraulic hammer equipped with 2 concentric piston 3 and 4 (see figure 1).
• The first piston 3 impacts on the chisel 10 for first.
• Successively the second piston 4 impacts on the piston 3.
• Piston masses and hydraulic ducts are dimensioned in order that piston 4 impacts on piston 3 before that piston 3 rebounds after the impact with the chisel 10.
Advantages
• Improved transmission of the impact energy, because it is avoided the piston rebound, where it is usually lost up to max 30% of the impact energy.
• Increased mechanical reliability because the oscillating pressure wave generated by the piston rebound are avoided, reducing the fatigue stress of mechanical parts.
• Noise reduction.

Patent WO 2006/097816 A1

Oleo-dynamic percussion machine with on-off slide valve and pilot piston.

Remarks: is currently applied for the hammer with mass over 800 [Kg], but only in relation to the on-off valve. The system for the automatic regulation of the working frequency is currently in field testing-prototype phase.

Claims
• Hydraulic hammer equipped with 2 concentric piston (see patent 0001344810).
• Hydraulic hammer having the distributor valve 8 with reduced lift (on-off behavior).
• The second piston 4 has also the function to pilot the distributor valve 8.
• The second piston allows to increase the working frequency when, the chisel 10 starts break the rock, by increasing the distance 28, through the oil that flows from volume 15 to volume 22 (see figure 2).
Advantages
• Improved hammer efficiency, due to the reduced hydraulic power spent to move the distributor valve on-off behavior).
• Changing hammer frequency in function of the rock status:
low frequency but with higher impact energy when starting to work, and successive increase of the frequency when the rock starts to break.

Patent 0001363596

International version of the patent N°3.

Claims
• New Hydraulic hammer equipped with start and stop system: as soon as the chisel breaks the rock or the operator pulls up the hammer for re-positioning, the hammer automatically stops, even if the operator continues to supply the oil.
• Optimized design of main hydraulic parameter as: accumulator volume / displacement; slot & ducts area / displacement.
Advantages
• Increase of retain axle life time due to the elimination of the un impacts between piston and retain axle.
• Increased of hammer efficiency, due to the improved hydraulic, that guarantees a reduced delta between pmax and pmin at the inlet:
more stable working pressure > more powerful impacts.

Patents BA2012A00019 and BA2012000A00055

Hydraulic hammers with Start & stop and optimized hydraulic circuit with 3D piston.

Remarks: are introduced in all new T-series model up to 400 [Kg]. Both patents are in pending state, because applied for in 2012.

Claims
• This patent is an extension of the previous BA2012A00019, with the addition of the new 3D piston (3 diameters) geometry.
Advantages
• The new 3D piston allows to increase the impact energy by: increase the piston mass w/o changing the other hammer dimensions; reducing the downward chamber volume realizing a better pressurizing when the chamber is put in communication with the high pressure.
